Dear Viacom: Don’t Kill Moose and Zee

UPDATE: Viacom and TimeWarner settled. Noggin & friends are safe. Hopefully, the letter below had something to do with that.

Sent this note to Viacom today regarding their threat to block networks they own from being carried on Time Warner cable:

You are about to have a very disappointed demographic of potential future customers should you decide to block Noggin, Nick, etc. You may make your quarterly number with this action, but let me assure you that my four-year-old has a long memory. Take away her Noggin, and I and the thousands of other parents who are currently organizing via online social media will ensure that our children forever know Viacom as the people who killed Moose and Zee.

Send email to Viacom – let them know you’re not happy either.

  • Hi, Eric. Congrats on starting a new blog! I appreciate the inclusion of my site, Insights and Ingenuity, on your blogroll. That's thoughtful of you. I look forward to reading more of your work in 2009, and wish you success! Thanks, Heather
  • Amen! Thank you for the Tweet and posting on #GreedyViacom Hopefully we can all get the word out to those who may not have heard the news today. Also note that they are not only killing Moose and Zee on the television, but also online to Time Warner internet subscribers.
